Can providers correct their evaluation?
Yes — after publication, through a standing corrections process. Any evaluated provider may submit corrections at any time through this process; no registration or participation is required. Corrections apply to facts, not scores: submit evidence (a certificate identifier, a registry link, a page we misread), and if it checks out, the data sheet is amended and the score re-derived from the anchors. Every accepted correction is logged in the changelog with its date; disputed items where the evidence is genuinely ambiguous are noted on the profile as disputed. Score complaints without evidence change nothing.
Providers can also argue that an anchor itself is unfair. Those arguments are collected for the next edition's methodology review and credited in the changelog when they change something — but anchors are frozen within an edition, for everyone, because mid-edition rule changes are how rankings get quietly bent.
How to submit
Email research@birchy.io with the provider name, the page or data sheet the item appears on, and the evidence. Marta Kaminska answers it personally.
What makes a correction actionable:
- A certificate or attestation identifier, issuing body, scope and validity dates — or a registry link.
- A source URL for a figure that differs from the one on record, with its publication date.
- The specific sentence or table cell you are disputing, quoted.
- For named-client evidence: the client statement, press item or award citation.
Corrections apply to facts, not scores. A corrected fact re-derives the score through the anchors; a score complaint without evidence changes nothing. Arguments that an anchor itself is unfair are collected for the next edition's methodology review, because anchors are frozen within an edition, for everyone.
Accepted corrections are logged in the changelog with their date. Providers that believe they qualify for evaluation in the next edition can use the same address; see the screened list for what is already in scope. Inclusion is free and cannot be purchased.
